Google has just announced that it is working with the government of Volodymyr Zelensky to implement an alert system that allows mobile phone users Android on Ukrainebe alerted when there is an airstrike near where you are.

“Tragically, millions of people in Ukraine now rely on airstrike alerts to try and get to safety. In collaboration with the government of Volodymyr Zelensky, we are implementing a rapid airstrike alert system for all Android phones in Ukraine,” he wrote.

According to Andro4all, a portal specialized in technology, this tool developed by Google does not seek to replace the alert system created by the Ukrainian government, but rather the idea is to serve as a complement for Android users.
According to the publication, this system developed by Google has already been used before; however, it only sent notifications for earthquake alerts. The developers have published the tool to detect the attacks, based on the alerts issued by the government.
“Air strike alerts and sirens in Ukraine are a tragic daily reality, and we are doing everything we can to help people receive these crucial alerts in as many ways as possible,” Google said in its statement.
