A report published in Bloomberg ensures that Apple would be working on a monthly subscription service that will allow users to rent an iPhone, iPad, among other products developed by the company. If it succeeds, this initiative could ‘see the light’ next year.
According to Gizmodo, a portal specialized in technology, those from Cupertino already have the “iPhone Upgrade Program”, a similar service that allows you to obtain a new cell phone every year, together with AppleCare+ coverage, for only $35 monthly.

According to the publication, Apple’s new subscription method would be totally different, since it will aim to prolong the relationship it has with its consumers, allowing them to try other Apple products, without having to pay for the entire hardware.
However, many fans could use this new subscription method to always have the latest iPhone. Bloomberg contacted the company founded by Steve Jobs for more information, but they declined to comment on these plans.
It is worth noting that the subscription programs for tangible goods are not so new. Peloton Interactive, an American exercise equipment company, is testing a rental service so that users can use (for a monthly fee) their training bikes.
At the moment, there are not many details about this new subscription method that would allow you to rent an iPhone and other Apple products. Bloomberg details that this plan could be launched at the end of this year; however, it risks being delayed until 2023.
