WhatsApp developers have just released an update, exclusive to users of the beta version, which allows you to react with emojis in messages, whether they are from a private or group conversation. Remember that Facebook Messenger, which also belongs to Meta, has a similar function.
As detailed by WABetaInfo, a specialized technology portal, beta testers who download version 2.22.8.3 of WhatsApp on their Android phone will be able to test this new feature that the developers of the instant messaging application have been working on since August 2021.

What does it consist of?
As in Facebook Messenger and Instagram, both applications owned by Meta, WhatsApp users will be able to choose certain messages sent by their friends and react to them with six different emojis: ‘I like’, ‘I love’, ‘Smiley’, ‘Surprised’, ‘Sad’ and ‘Thank you’.
Once you react to a certain WhatsApp chat, you will see the emoji appear at the bottom of the message. In case you leave a reaction in a group conversation, that message may have more than one reaction, depending on how many members have also done so.
How to become a WhatsApp beta tester?
If you have an Android phone and want to become a user of the WhatsApp beta to test all the new features, before its official launch, you just have to enter the Google Play Store and search for the aforementioned instant messaging application.
In addition to the ‘Uninstall’ and ‘Open’ buttons, you’ll notice there are more sections below. One of them is called “Become a tester”, you just have to select it and wait for your application to be approved. If there are no quotas, please try again later.
