Every year WhatsApp updates its features and offers new content within its application. Although the main purpose of the instant messaging service is to send and receive messages between users, today it is a reality that the Meta application offers the possibility of sending stickers, photos, videos, making video calls, among other options. That is why the company has informed different users that, this year, a series of models will no longer have the possibility of using it.

As if that were not enough, WhatsApp reported that it will stop maintaining old versions of Android operating systems. That said, the teams that will no longer be able to enjoy the service as of January 1, 2022 are:
- Phones with versions earlier than Android OS 4.1
- Phones with versions prior to iOS 10
- Phones with versions prior to KaiOS 2.5.0including JioPhone and JioPhone 2 devices
