In a matter of days, Fake You became one of the most visited websites on the internet, since many netizens used the audios to send them to their friends through WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Signal, among other instant messaging applications.
The audios created with Fake You became so viral that they reached the ears of several voice actors who were not happy with their voices being used without permission. One of the first to claim was René García, famous for being the voice of Vegeta in the Latin version of Dragon Ball Super.

For his part, the dubbing actor Mario Castañeda responded to a tweeter who assured that Fake You did not affect his work, since the result was robotic. “The problem is not that they use Text to speak. The problem is that they didn’t even ask for permission. And fewer are paying for the use of voice,” he noted.

Due to the complaints of both dubbing actors, which went viral on Twitter and other social networks, the creators of Fake You decided to remove the voices of Goku and Vegeta from their platform. However, those of other cartoon characters such as SpongeBob or Bart Simpson are still maintained.
