WhatsApp continues to make people talk with each of its updates. The instant messaging application went from sending messages to allowing photos, videos, voice messages, gifts and documents to be sent. And now, as for the audio, the company has just announced that it is implementing six improvements that can make your day to day much more bearable. Although many of them are already available, there are some that are yet to come to the app.
For users who do not yet have this possibility, there is nothing to worry about, as they will end up reaching WhatsApp Sooner than later. The company speaks of coming weeks for the general landing of all of them. We recommend that you have your application updated so that you can enjoy all the news.

Six improvements to WhatsApp audio
- Pause and resume recordings: from now on you can pause recording a voice memo and restart it later. This way you will not need to send several voice notes if you have to stop for some reason or think about what you are going to say. You can manage everything you want to say in a single note.
- Playback outside the same chat: It will no longer be necessary to stay in the chat of the voice note to be able to listen to it. You can play it and go to other conversations while listening to the voice memo. At the top you can see a bar that tells you how much audio is left and with which you can also manage playback.
- Visualization of the audio in the form of waves: It is a well-known function for a few days and with limited usefulness. The audios will now be seen as waves depending on how it is recorded. We have tested this function and we did not find much sense beyond the aesthetic.
- Listen to the voice message before sending it: before sending a voice note you can listen to it complete. If you don’t like it, you can discard it.
- Resume an audio from where you left off: you can pause very long voice memos and then resume them at the exact place where you left off. Playback no longer restarts if you leave the chat.
- 1x, 1.5x and 2x audio playback: the audios you receive you can play them at different speeds in order to finish listening to them much faster.
