An 11-year-old girl, a native of Bolivia, reported missing since Tuesday, April 26, was found in Peru, after the minor was “captured” through social networks and the Free Fire game, reported the Ministry of Government from Bolivia.
The girl was reported missing by her parents when she left her house for her school, in the city of La Paz, but did not return.

The parents told the local media that their daughter was having conversations with strangers in the popular Free Fire game, so they suspected that someone linked to this activity induced her to leave her home.
The Bolivian Government Minister, Eduardo del Castillo, indicated this Thursday that the minor maintained contact with people from Peru through social networks such as Facebook, TikTok and the online game Free Fire, especially with the user Marco Condori 6.12, located in Peruvian territory.
In the middle of the search, one of the relatives of the minor received some messages from a number from Peru in which the girl speaks and asks that they send her a sum of money, according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Government.

After this message, the Bolivian Police contact their Peruvian peers to coordinate actions and find the whereabouts of the girl.
“We have solved a case of human trafficking in a joint operation with the National Police of Peru,” Del Castillo said.
The little girl is in the city of Arequipa and there are already two people detained, while the parents are traveling to Peru to meet the girl.
Meanwhile, the parents of the minor’s school indicated that there is a group on social networks where several students participate and share Free Fire game strategies, but that it was managed by an unknown person, for which they asked the authorities to form to minors about cybersecurity so as not to fall into these facts.
