When we acquire a new device, there is always talk of a theory that indicates that said device must be charged for a large number of hours on its first charge. This belief has some truth for some technological devices, but not for cell phones. That is why in La República we have prepared this note to deny those indications that state that if we do not charge the phone, the useful life of the battery could decrease.
In the case of iPhones this is completely false. Although some people think that the first charge of the Apple phone should be connected between 9 and 12 hours, that is unnecessary and, on the contrary, could be harmful.

How to take care of the battery?
Remember that the battery has charge cycles (approximately 1,000). This means that the battery will perform at its maximum if you charge the phone 1,000 times from 0 to 100%.
If you want to preserve the life of your battery, a good trick is to use charging intervals, that is, you should not wait for the cell phone to be completely discharged to reconnect it to the current. An example of intervals might start at 40% and stop the load at 90%. The trick is that the loads do not go down or exceed those percentages. Thus, charging cycles will last much longer, as well as the life and value of your phone.
