Since Mark Zuckerberg announced that reactions were getting closer to WhatsApp, Internet users have been very excited about the new feature. Over the past week, some user reports showed that the reactions had arrived for some Android mobile devices, but not for the general public.
Today, Tuesday, May 10, Peruvians received the news that the function is now available for Android and Apple cell phones throughout the country.

While this new feature has not required an update to the Meta app, it is recommended that all users keep the app on the latest version, as well as the operating system.
Likewise, it is known that the reactions also reached WhatsApp Web. In a very similar way to the application, from the PC we can now also choose between six emojis to react in our chats.
It should be noted that every time someone reacts to our comment, WhatsApp will send us a notification. In case these notifications are not to your liking, here are the steps so that you can deactivate these notices.
How to disable WhatsApp reaction notifications?
- The first step you have to do is open the WhatsApp application from your phone.
- When you are inside the messaging app you will have to give the three small vertical points located at the top right of the screen.
- You will see a menu with several options, click on the last one, the one that says “Settings”.
- Enter in “Notifications”.
- Click on the button next to “Reaction notifications”.
- If you did all the steps correctly, when someone reacts to one of your messages, WhatsApp will no longer show you a notification on your mobile.
