During the CES 2022Asus presented the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, its first laptop with a folding screen that will still hit the market at the end of 2022. However, there are 5 computers (which are not the final version) that are circulating around the world, one of them is in Peru and we had the opportunity to meet him.
Gabriel Bahamondes, technical marketing coordinator at Asus, revealed that this innovative device was designed with the comfort of the user in mind, who will have the possibility of accommodating the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED of six different forms or modes: PC, laptop, tablet, on-screen keyboard, book and extension.

What are its main characteristics?
The Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes with a fairly light bluetooth keyboard that allows it to be used as a desktop computer. In this way, the user will be able to work or enjoy multimedia content in a large 17.3-inch touch screen with 2.5K resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:10.
Thanks to a 180° hinge, the huge screen can be folded to create two 12.5-inch screens with 1920 x 1280 resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio. In case you don’t like to use its touch keyboard, there is the possibility of placing the bluetooth keyboard on top of the lower screen and thus have a compact laptop.
Although the device is not the final version, Bahamondes confirmed that it would have a 12th generation Intel Core i7 U-series processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. It would also have Wi-Fi 6, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 75Wh battery with fast charge (up to 50% battery in 30 minutes).
Other interesting features of the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is that it has a 5-megapixel webcam with technology that reduces noise when you make your video calls. Finally, when it comes to sound, the foldable laptop has four speakers and Dolby Atmos.
