Windows 11 has not been far from controversy either since its announcement or after its eventful launch; however, there is no denying that the new OS is a great excuse for Microsoft to keep innovation dormant even beyond what we would have come to see with Windows 10. Now both systems will receive a feature that harkens back to the old days of Manzana and Sketchbook.
If you’ve been using computers for a long time, you may have noticed that both Windows and macOS they have their own advantages that, in most cases, are not always well translated between the two systems. Even so, over the years, the closeness between these two OS has shortened and now it is Redmond’s that adds to Windows 11 one of the features for which Manzana kept a big lead.
This is macOS Quick View, which will now be available for both Windows 10 and Windows 11. The best thing is that it will come as an integrated function within File Explorer, although only available to those who install Microsoft PowerToys.

What is quick view and what will it look like in Windows 10 and 11?
If you ask any user of Mac, you’ll probably get compliments on Quick View. It is a function that does not seem so crucial, but that can make a difference on a day-to-day basis.
The quick view of Manzana offers a fast, complete and lossless preview of virtually any type of system file. This especially shines in multimedia formats, as you can instantly view photos, videos, and even 3D objects without having to open any specific software and load up your device’s memory with it.

Now, microsoft will be able to have its own version of a similar function for Windows 11 and its predecessor, which will allow, first of all, to view photos in real size without opening any specific app. Everything will be possible from the file explorer itself, in a kind of tab similar to the Preview one.
To access this new option, it will be necessary to install the PowerToys utility package, precisely from the tool Peek. After installing it, it will only be enough to press the keys Shift + Space bar. At the moment, this feature is in the testing phase, but it will be released soon through the mentioned package.

Do you know why your computer’s hard drive bears the letter C? Here we reveal the mystery
Decades ago, Floppyalso called floppy disk (5 ¼ and 3 ½) – were characterized by occupying disk drives A and B in computers. The first was used to boot the computer, while the second was used to save information.
Years passed and hard drives appeared; however, they did not replace the classic floppy disks. Believe it or not, at first they were something additional. For that reason, it is that the computers assigned the C drive to this new component.
Although floppy disks have practically disappeared, in Windows 11, drive C is still assigned for the hard drive. If we add other storage units (CD, DVD, USB, etc), other units will be created that will have other letters of the alphabet.
Although it is possible to change the letter C to the hard drive, the truth is that this practice is not recommended at all, since some applications that you have installed on your computer could fail.
