An investigation carried out by Douglas Leith, which was published in The Register, assures that Google would be collecting the information of its users from Android through two applications that usually come pre-installed on mobile devices, we are talking about Phone and Messages.
As detailed by Computer Hoy, a portal specialized in technology, the Mountain View company would have been breaching a series of policies that protect the privacy of users, since the information collected by both applications would have been without their consent.

In general, when you install an application developed by third parties on your mobile device, it usually collects your data and for this it asks for permissions, which you can accept or not. For example, there are apps that ask to access the camera, storage, microphone, etc.
According to the publication, the investigation carried out by Douglas Leith concludes that the Telephone application would be collecting the call log (date of call and duration of the call), as well as the numbers with which we communicate, and then send it to Google.
For its part, the Messages application (also owned by Google) would send a kind of context of the message, allowing the technological giant to link both the sender and the receiver with whom it is communicating.
The investigation affirms that both cases are a clear violation of user privacy and it is curious, since the American company is characterized by having rigid rules when it comes to data collection, if they benefit third-party applications.
