According to Andro4all, a portal specialized in technology, the company founded by Steve Jobs has just published in Apple Online Store, its official sales website, a new product that attracted attention due to its high price. It’s about a Thunderbolt cable that costs $159. Why so expensive?

In its publication, Apple highlighted the main characteristics of this Thunderbolt cable, which differs from the rest in several aspects, such as its length (the apple one measures 3 meters) or that it is capable of transferring files at extremely high speeds such as 40 Gb /s.
“Featuring a black braided design that coils without getting tangled, this 3 meter cable supports Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4 data transfer up to 40Gb/s, USB 3.1 Gen 2 data transfer up to 10Gb/s, DisplayPort (HBR3) video output, and charging up to 100W,” Apple says on its website.
“Use this cable to connect a Mac with Thunderbolt 3 or 4 (USB-C) ports to Thunderbolt (USB-C) and USB devices and displays such as Studio Display, Pro Display XDR, docks and hard drives,” adds the company in its publication.
According to his post, the “Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable (3m)” from Apple will be compatible with various models of iPad Air, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, XDR Professional Display, among other devices. At the moment, reservations cannot be made and it is unknown when shipments will begin.
